Easy, safety shower wall coverage options?
We just moved and found / our child, bathroom guest has a shower. This is just a tub surrounded by beautiful tile halfway up the wall. I easily found a hand shower head, new valve, and the support wall Universal However, it occurred to me not a good idea to use the shower before protecting the plain old painted plaster on the floor. Is this not an option there to join the wall of something that will protect the plaster? I imagine a sort of safe water, "Backer Board" closed along the seams and edges with sealant. I'm not a construction guru, so any advice you have is welcomed with precision: we are not interested to replace the whole shower or to add more tile. If there is no simple solution, we'll wait and add the remodeling of our list.
