If I drink water from the bathtub faucet, is that bad for me?
I know tap water in general isnt all that great but it cant hurt you once in a while. But what about if it comes from the faucet of the bathtub? Im asking because I was taking a bath and I usually have a bottle of water with me (cause I get dehydrated easily but I forgot it) so instead I rinsed my hands off and then cupped them under the faucet to get some cold water. I drank like 10 or 12 handfuls.
Is the bathtub water filtered differently than water from other faucets (like the kitchen one)? Im just asking cause I hope I dont get sick.
the water that comes from the bathtub is no different from the water that you get from that tap in your kitchen. It ultimately runs from the same pipes. Although I wouldn't drink water that comes from any tap unless absolutely necessary. There are so many chemicals and chlorine that comes from the town water, it's really not good for you. Bottled water is just as bad. They say that it is clean but it really isn't. You should drink distilled water from an 18L jug. The jug is made so that the plastic that surrounds the water doesn't deteriorate into the water. I used to work for a water company and used to bring in all sorts of water to test (myself).
