Make sure the water is off. Should be a cut off under the sink, Take the handle off. Then below or under it, is the stem. It will have a nut. Loosen the nut counter clockwise. Once the nut is loose. Put the handle back on. Unscrew the stem. If it does not unscrew. Look at the bottom. You will see 2 notches. This is a cartridge. Again, you may have to put the handle back on. Pull straight up. It is easier to replace the cartridge than repair it. But you may be able to fix some by replacing the O Rings. If it unscrews. On the bottom will be a washer.There is where a problem sometimes happens. If it is old. The screw head may strip or break off. Use the best fitting screwdriver and get a good bite. Be careful and don't stab your hand.
