Fixing my leaky bathtub faucet...?
We have replaced the valve seats and the washers. We also replaced one stem as we took it apart and couldn't get it back together. The problem, when we turn off the water there is still a heavy steady drip. After replacing everything it helped for a day, but is now leaking again. What part is the problem? (it is a price pfister 3 handle set, if that helps)
since you have so much invested already try replacing other stem. you should be able to tell if its hot or cold leaking. make sure you used the exact same washers and seats as you removed its easy to get ones that are just a hair off. when I started plumbing I learned the hard way that it is very easy to pick up a part thinking it is the same. sometimes it takes a few uses to get new parts to seat right. if that fails replace the faucet. good luck
