How can a jet tub/whirlpool be converted into a jet bath and shower?
I'm moving into a new home and am planning to renovate the bathroom. I'd like to install a jet tub, or whirlpool type bathtub. Since theres only one bathroom, I'd like to also have a shower. There is a normal tub installed now, with wall mounted faucets and a shower sprayer. I want to remove this and build a surround on all four sides and put the drop-in jet tub in.
Does a jet tub work the same as a normal tub? Can I leave the old plumbing to the tub and shower, or does a jet tub not work with a shower attachment?

it doesn't know or care how it got filled.. you get hammer time ..Yaaaay. a diverter faucet either ran hard line in the wall .. or a hand held flex hose shower thing can easily be done...dont go cheap on it tho... it'll come back and bite ya hard. then you'll have more hammer time...
