How to fix an undersink leak with my new faucet?
My husband just installed a Delta 978-SD-DST faucet in our kitchen. One of the connections is 2 hoses pushed together and then this plastic clip goes on the outside of both of them to hold them together. It seems like it won't stay together, and it didn't. It leaked all over the cabinet today. I don't know what else to do. It's a brand new faucet and this is how it was designed, but it leaks! I can't return it b/c I bought it on eBay, but it was brand new and never opened.
What you do is call 1-800-345-DELTA.Tell them what the problem is.Even if they won't send you the needed replacement part for free,they will sell you one and it will cost less than a new faucet.
I guess you could ask the E-bay seller to make it right for you,but they often say all purchases are "as-is".Thats how they can afford to sell stuff off-price.Sometimes they will do a lot of trying to help to keep their feedback rating high,so its worth a try.
