I would like suggestions on how to take off stuck bathtub faucet handles without using a handle puller?

I have had old bathtub handles that were very hard to get off. It just takes a lot of patience and keep working at it. You can put a screwdriver on both sides of the handle and gently pry on them, one after the other, but be careful you don't mess up your tile or tub surround. You might be able to get a wrench behind the handle to remove the valve (after turning the water off) then you can remove the handle. Replacement handles are not hard to find at home centers, so definitely change the handle before reassembly.
