Role of Plumbing in Choosing a Vessel Sink
There are a lot of things which have to be considered while making an important decision. Even in case of a vessel sink, the user should consider the material, his/her budget and the placement of the sink. Moreover, the plumbing of the sink is another important consideration which can vary the form of sink being chosen by the user.
The plumbing considerations are there mostly because of the faucet which is going to be used. Usually, the buyers prefer their vessel to be mounted on the counter top. Due to this, the conventional five inch faucet would not be an ideal choice. There are specific faucets for these types of sinks and these come in the deck mounted and the wall mounted type.
The deck mounted faucets are required for tall sinks as they normally have a goose neck. This allows the faucet to make it to the tall edge of the vessel which gives the user enough space to wash his/her hands. These faucets are installed easily as the user just has to be inserted easily in the countertop hole and use the prior plumbing beneath the countertop.
The wall mounted faucets are more complicated and require more preparation. These are chosen when one is demolishing the old house to construct again or when one is building a new home. These faucets require the hot and cold water lines to run in the wall of the bathroom and they have to be installed above the basin level of the vessel sink. This construction allows the faucet to be easily attached and the spout to easily reach to the basin's middle.
